Labor and Employment Law – Award-winning Textbook in a New Edition

An updated version of the successful textbook Labor and Employment Law is now available. The first edition of this textbook won the prestigious Jaroslav Jirsa Award for the best textbook of the year of Charles University. Doc. JUDr. Jakub Morávek, Ph.D., attorney at Felix a spol., made a significant contribution to the textbook.

The team of authors led by Prof. Jan Pichrt supplemented and updated the book as at September 1, 2025. The publication provides a comprehensive, comprehensible and clear explanation of labor and employment law and as such represents a theoretical foundation for the field.

With its modern approach, the textbook reflects the European trends in the teaching of labor and employment law and is designed to be reader-friendly, whether for students, lawyers, or HR professionals.
