On Friday, October 9th, 2026, we held yet another Breakfast with Law. Attorney and partner doc. JUDr. Jakub Morávek, Ph.D. dedicated the event to current developments in the area of fair remuneration and illegal work.
At the beginning of September, draft legislation intended to transpose the requirements of the relevant European directive into the Czech legal system was submitted to the Chamber of Deputies. Companies should start preparing for the new rules.
In his presentation, Jakub Morávek paid particular attention to:
- an overview of legal provisions on fair remuneration, including newly introduced obligations;
- how to determine the value of work according to the ministerial guidelines and according to the methodology prepared by our law firm;
- questions related to the drafting of follow-up internal documentation (internal rules);
- possible consequences of modified definitions of dependent work and illegal work;
- consequences arising from facilitating illegal work.
The new legislation is expected to come into effect during 2027.
