JUDr. Jakub Morávek, Ph.D. has been active at the Department of Labor Law and Social Security Law at the Charles University´s Faculty of Law since 2009. He is currently a department registrar and assistant professor there. Until 2012, when he joined the team of Felix a spol., he was the director of the Department of Legal Support and Schengen Cooperation at the Office for Personal Data Protection. In his legal practice, he specializes mostly in the area of labor law, personal data protection, and related issues.
„In collaboration with our colleague Jakub Morávek, who has both academic and legislative experience, we were able to build a specialization in labor law at the highest level and it makes me very happy that we are able to provide our clients with complete services,” said Jana Felixová , a partner at the firm.
At the Faculty of Law, Jakub dedicates himself not only to teaching but also research and theory. He has designed several elective courses at the school. He regularly authors or co-authors texts for various specialized publications (for instance annotations to the Labor Code, the Collective Bargaining Act and the Civil Service Act, published by Wolters Kluwer, the college textbook Labor Law (7th ed.), and Social Security Law, (7th ed.), published by C. H. Beck, and a number of monographs like Alternative Dispute Resolution in Labor Relationships, Case Studies in Labor Law, Personal Data Protection in Employment Relations, and Agency Employment in a Comprehensive Context).
Jakub Morávek is the vice-president of the Czech Society for Labor Law and Social Security Law. He is also active in one of the working parties of the Government Council against Corruption and in specialized bodies of the Czech Bar Association. Jakub regularly lectures on issues of personal data protection and leads specialized courses and seminars on the legal treatment of labor and employment relations.

Jakub is married and dedicates his free time to his three children. His hobby is sports, especially team sports of all kinds.
