On November 8th, 2018, the first annual Meeting of Important Female Lawyers took place in the unique space of the Jatka78 theatre. Felix a spol. was represented by Jana Felixová, Eva Veselá and Marie Marková. Other participants included Hana Homolová, Michaela Ulrychová and Andrea Felixová. The program was very interestingly conceived and the discussion revolved around the position of women both in and outside of the legal profession.
Jana Felixová expressed herself on the subject when moderator Jaroslav Kramer posed her the question: „What do you think might help further elevate the position of female lawyers?“
“I consider it important and right to promote people to leadership and corporate positions who are capable of recognizing potential among their young colleagues, male and female, with the potential not just to provide services to clients but also in terms of many other social and societal activities which are indispensable for the functioning of any law firm. And then I would say it is also the case that there is power in numbers. If female lawyers from different law firms and across the entire bar support and inspire each other, this will certainly contribute to the greater ascension of women into leadership positions and greater respect towards them. For this, various meetings and events are useful as well, such as this Meeting of Important Female Lawyers, where female lawyers have the opportunity to exchange various opinions and experiences.” Jana Felixová, attorney and partner at Felix a spol.
