On Monday, May 18th, 2026, we attended a donor meeting organized by Člověk v tísni (People in Need), which took place at Rytířská Palace in Prague.
The event took the form of a moderated discussion, followed by an open session for informal networking among participants. It provided an opportunity not only for conversation but also collective reflection on where best to direct energy, time, and support today.
One of the main topics was the significant reduction in foreign aid resulting from the Czech government’s drastic funding cuts to humanitarian and human rights assistance, by as much as 70%. The discussion once again confirmed the necessity of solidarity and active involvement by each of us, especially in today’s challenging times.
We greatly value the opportunity to be part of a community that is not indifferent to current events, and we are grateful to have been able to participate actively in this discussion.
